They've gotta do something with Jordan, if they don't slot him in they have to trade him, he was supposed to be "major league ready." In which case, I suppose Joe Ross would be the next guy up.

Nobody named Taylor is breaking the Nationals rotation.  Ever.  Both Taylors are AAA fodder who need to be released and picked up by Texas or Colorado.

9 game hit streak, .389 with 5 doubles and 2 SBs in that stretch.

0.360 / 0.396 / 0.460 in his last 14 games.

One of the best things about baseball for me is watching a young player like Taylor develop.

the K/rate is lowering, I have picked him up in a fantasy league during the hot streak and he has helped a lot. He has a nice swing, just needs to stay through the baseball and not whiff and his talent will shine through

Both Wood and Taylor were stalwarts of some pretty great Packers teams back in the 60's.    :old:

Taylor is tied for 11th in the MLB in UZR at 8.3. That's also good for the 5th best OF total in the game.

That was Eddie Floyd in 1965.

Yeah, they're both total garbage.

He's going to be a hell of a player. Love watching him develop.

I know this might be mindfacting but he's also really clutch. Seems like he's come through in late game RBI situations quite often. The grand slam against Arizona, the RBI double the other day, I'm sure there are others.

I was low on Taylor, but he is doing well. I like him as a fourth outfielder. I'm shocked by how much power he has.

Not sure yet if I'm comfortable with him going into next season as the opening day center fielder, but it gives the Nats some breathing room when considering Span's future.

Yeah I still want to keep Span. If anything Taylor can play LF, or set up some kind of platoon to give Span rest(he does seem to be racking up the injuries at age 30+).

I think we try to get Span back if he can stay healthy the rest of the year and the deal isnt too long or $$.  Taylor can be our fourth OF, spelling Werth and Span with a guy that would be a starter on most teams.  If one of the older guys gets seriously hurt or slumps badly, then we have our solution in house already.

Span might be a guy you offer 3 years, $45MM and live with the possibility that, in 2018, you will have him as your 4th outfielder.

I look at Taylor as Bernadina at his best. Good fourth out fielder, occasional starter. Enough pop to use as a pinch hitter, speed, and good defender. Problem is with Bernie he would kill it as a backup then falter with extended playing time. Taylor seems to be doing better as plays more.

We need to sign Span because Werth (Zimmerman too) will again have the summer off next year.

It's way too soon to write Taylor off as a Bernadina.  We had a substantial body of work from Bernadina to conclude that he was never going to be a perennial starter.  We have nowhere near that much data on Taylor,

I agree completely. I mean at this moment even as a rookie.

Jesus, you have an extremely low ceiling for him. Bernadina at his best? That's insulting.

I mean Taylor right now is Bernadina at Bernadina's best.
