swore I heard the announcer (either FS1 or MLBN) say he was coming up.  haven't been watching the game, just following the MLBN look-ins.  must have been saying his spot was coming up

Interesting little maneuver the Red Sox did with Allan Craig.  They waived him off the 40 man roster.  Because he has less than 5 years service time, he cannot refuse assignment to AAA.  His salary does not count against the luxury tax threshold for that portion of the championship season that he spends in the minors.  Another sort of the lux tax books salary maneuver.
