Best part is that the Phailers LOSE AGAIN.  Their fans are like crazy piranhas, and they'll be knives out now.  Losing to THE NATS...after coming back to tie in the 9th...PWN3D.

That did NOT suck.  I'm seriously entertaining the thought of playing hookie and going to the game tomorrow.

Very true.  But he's 2 for 2 in the regular season, couz!

EDIT: And 13 pages for 13 innings...very fitting.

Just got back from this game. Another extra-inning rollercoaster for the Nats and Phillies. I love winning these with the day game to follow.

That Phillies lineup will not be held at bay for long. Kudos to the team to keep battling back for chances after squandering so many opportunities. We hit so many good balls that just could not find the openings. But finally, it all paid off. Sweet win. (Phillies fans really know how to devour their young.)

Patty versus Moyer tomorrow should be a nice matchup. I wonder if Restovich and/or Flores will get a start to maximize the right-handed bats.

Its a little late but here it is anyway...

This is why this team is going to be something special in due time.  Lopez MOCKED and RIDICULED all the critics in just one bat.  Those of little faith be damned.

GO NATS!

I had a sense through MOST of the game that the Phillies' players were playing "not to lose," and actually expected to lose the game.  They have pitching problems and could finish last in the division.  Florida has returned to its losing ways.  As well as the Mets have played, the Nationals are not intimidated by them.  5 more wins to .500 for Washington!
