Collin Balester is in AAA Indianapolis with the Pirates organization.  All MLB spring training he didn't give up a hit and only had 1 walk. In last nights AAA game he pitched 2 perfect innings with 1 K! He still hasn't given up a hit in more than a month. His fastball is at 91-94MPH and his curveball is  really good. His change up is really coming around. His command is so much better.  I hope he keeps this up. Spinman

Good for him! I'd love that adventure if I were washed up.

I would have thought Mike, what's his name, the lefty, would have been the one to end up there.

Sandy Leon played third base for the Red Sox tonight.

At that point in the game, who cares? Fun fact: The Yankees scored more runs today than we have scored so far this year.

Watch the Sox pitchers close the door for 3 days.

Souza - .125 / .300 / .125, 4 walks, 8Ks, (2 for 16) in his first week as a regular starter for Tampa.  He'll turn it around this week as I just benched him on my fantasy team for Austin Jackson.

update: Souza, 1-2, RBI, BB tonight.

Clippard's first 3 appearances in Oakland: 1 ER, 3IP, 3BBs, 1K.  One loss, no saves.

Blevins will be the Mets closer in LHP situations going forward according to Collins, with Meija being out.

He's a stud. Next mike morse as I've been saying for a couple of years now.  Too bad we didn't have a spot for him.

That's kind of insulting, Mike Morse can't play defense.

He wasn't as good as Souza, but he did come up as a SS IIRC.

It defies reason why Rizzo traded Blevins for den Dekker and kept Cedeno...then DFA'd him.

It must have been about the arb win for Blevins.
