Hell, I'm not even sure what slacks are.  Dockers? The only place you used to see the words trousers, slacks and pant in the same  place was the L.L. Bean catalog.

:)     I wasn't trying to put slack wearers down.     Even when I had a job, I'd change before I went to the Park.     I've never played golf where you had to wear "long pants".     Collared shirt is my baseline.

I imagine slacks as those things the Harbaughs wear.    There's an old joke (I'll try to find it) about guys from Western PA and their wardrobes.

I thought slacks were any dress pants?

I used to change before the game also when working. Even when I worked. Even in the hoity toity club level. People spill stuff on you at games. I don't even like to wear nice sneakers.

We've noticed. You wear the ones you polish your Jag in.

If slacks are any dress pants, then what are trousers?

I don't recall having anything ...  hoity toity or otherwise ....  spilled on me.     Now the nice sneakers I understand.    I hate headin' to the can in any venue with nice footwear.

I think trousers are more "formal".    Like what you'd wear with a sports jacket or shirt and tie.

My first MLB game was at Yankee Stadium in '77 or '78...my grandfather wore a suit.  Anyone who remembers the Bronx in the 70s knows that suits were generally only seen on pimps

My first game was there too, about 10 years earlier. The Orioles were in town. I thought they were booing the 1B...

Not sure it's the first but Yankee Stadium was one of my first pro baseball experiences as well.     Saw the Tigers and the Yankees.    My guess is it would have been about 10 years before Gburg.

Thought they were just different words for the same thing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slacks_(disambiguation)

Slacks is a common term for pants or trousers.

Though in the UK, pants may refer to underwear...

I've been going to professional baseball games for well over 60 years.    I've never worn slacks.

No jeans = no OC. Dress codes suck.

I'm 99% shorts.    The only thing that changes is upper outer wear  ...  tee  ...  aloha  ....  golf shirt  ....    Nats/Steelers hoodie   .....   ball cap/knit hat   ....

They're piloting self-serve ordering kiosks at the Nats Dog stand behind section 142. Seems like a good idea but I can somehow see it becoming a disaster when they get busy.

We really enjoyed the PiriPiri Chicken sandwich & the pork tacos at the Red Porch last night.

Where have others found good food at Nats Park ?

Tater tots with BBQ pork on top at See You Tater (CF plaza) and the chicken biscuits at the Virginia biscuit stands. (I forget their names). I have friends who swear by the G (Mike Isabella) sandwiches but I've never had one.

...such as all the hot dogs getting made one way, like the all-prefab burgers at McDonalds (for my part I hate mustard with a passion; I only use ketchup on my hot dogs).

They have self-serve beer kiosks at Great American Ballpark in Cincy. I can think of about 11 ways for that to go wrong but didn't actually see any issues when I visited.

There's a local bar (Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights/Petworth) that has self=serve taps in the tables. You give the waiter a credit card, they turn on the taps, and it meters your pours just like a gas pump.  Dangerous in more ways than one!
