That was one of the lamest episodes of TWD that I've seen. The only good thing to come out of it was Eugene and his jar of pickles. They looked so good I went up to the Giant and got a jar of kosher dills.  :mg:

And was unfunny as usual, although the skit they just did about a talking dog who's a Trump fan was hysterical.

I gave up after the opening skit.    Went back to b'ball and hockey.

I laughed at a few but on the whole his impression doesn't do much for me, I never laughed at it the way I did Melissa's first Spicer bit but I know I'm in the minority, most do seem to think he's hysterical.

Yea the first couple skits were lame but if I can find the Trump loving dog skit I'll post it for you, was truly funny and so accurate.

There are some things that just aren't funny to me.   The opening skit covered just about all of 'em.

Agreed, didn't crack a smile for the first 20 minutes of the show but since I usually hang around for Weekend Update I got to see it redeem itself somewhat.

My attention deficit disorder doesn't allow for this.    It's like sittin' still at dinner.

That was alright.    Only problem is I couldn't wait that long to smile.     BTW, wasn't the dog a female?

Ha I didn't notice, it was late lol! I may have built it up too much and it did take a minute to get going but I freaking loved it, "what do you know about race, you've never invited a black person over not once" "your dog is a monster!" To me it was SNL at its best, holding up a mirror but being funny while doing it.

I missed that but the "Finding Jesus" shows they have on tonight are totally fascinating.

Stranger Things on Netflix. Obsessed.
I binge-watched all 8 episodes of the Netflix original series Stranger Things (2016) on Comcast/Xfinity's Watchathon last week. It richly earned the Screen Actors Guild Best Drama Award.

Network TV would never show an 8-episode series, except in the summer. (All the networks turned down the pitch for this sci-fi thriller, starring Winona Rider, 12-year-old kids, teens and set in the 1980s.) Netflix does not release viewership data, but another site estimated that 17 million people watched individual episodes.

Season 2 will be 9 episodes that start airing on Halloween October 31, 2017.

There are numerous homages and connections to films from the 1980s:

  • The Hawkins Police Department vehicles and uniforms are identical to those used in Jaws.
  • Throughout the series, Steve Harrington wears the same exact shoes as Marty McFly, from Back To The Future (1985).
