I wouldn't even attempt to take on that course. The greens loom scary also. I could see myself putting it continuously on and off the green on some of those holes. It's interesting to watch given its different look. Of course the Tiger watch is now on.

5:28 PM tee time for Tiger.     I'm such a bad golfer that I might just pull it off.    :)

Norman wasn't bad for a rookie but this second crew is awful.

Tiger is a total mess.

I am surprised they don't always have the open on the west coast so they can maximize prime time coverage like this week.

Had a scary thought at the gym this morning.    What if Aikman, Johnson, Bradshaw, etc. are in the booth for day two?

Yes.  That is scary.  Throw in Mcarver and it's a real nightmare.

Tiger is only 13 over.

I wish Buck would shut the freak up and let the pros (Norman, Pavin, etc.) talk to each other.

Greenbrier today on Golf Channel at 4 PM.    Tiger was four under today  ...   four behind the clubhouse leader (at time of this post).

Picked up the clubs for the first time in 2015 yesterday.   :?

Went over to Oak Marr rec center and bought a couple of buckets.  I found out they have a nice putting and chipping area in addition to the driving range, even have a couple of bunkers you can practice hitting out of.  Only thing I could have used was a wooded area with poison ivy, ticks and exposed roots to practice hitting out of.

Still, for 10 bucks or so you can essentially hit for hours, wear yourself out on the putting and chipping greens before hitting out on the range.  They even let you hit off grass at the range for a 4 hour block twice a week (including 10-2 Saturdays).  Nice facility.

Nice  ...  I hit Brambleton yesterday and did the woods, tick, water, etc. tour.

Watching the John Deere and somebody blew off a fire cracker or something.    Scary as hell.

I used to be a  keen golfer a few years back, then i busted my knee and shoulder at different times and I don't get out much. Played a local course recently which had some really small par 4's.
Hit a drive to the side of a green on the 11th and made a 15 yard chip for my first ever eagle on a par 4. Safe to say that's a once in a lifetime event

Not too shabby young fella   ...

I'm headin' to Western PA (5 hour drive) to play golf with my brother-in-law and some locals tomorrow.    I wanna be back by 4 AM EDT on Thursday to watch the Open.

Anybody else gettin' up for the Open?    I know aussienatsfan will just be gettin' home from work.    Pop a cold one and watch it in the middle of the day.    Must be nice   ...   :P

Well best part for me is I have a rostered day off the day it starts, so I won't even have to go towork, just crack the cold one and away I go.

It's my favorite tournament, can't wait - my old man never misses any golf in his retirement, so i will watch it with him.

4am seems a little early to me. Usually don't go to bed until 1 or so.  I am sure it will still be going on at more normal breakfast hours.

Didn't the Open used to be from Wednesday to Saturday?  You know when they called it the British Open.

Oh yeah, it should still be in full swing around breakfast time here.   In fact, it'll probably be in progress most of the day on the East Coast.   It stays light pretty long at St. Andrews (sunset 9:50 PM GMT).

Due to allergies, travel, and poor health, we didn't get to play at all this year until this past weekend, when we managed to fit in nine holes at Hilltop. Doubt we'll get to play this weekend, and then next weekend we,re out of town again.

The view from the third green at Hilltop has changed big time since last year!

Cold, really damn cold. we do degrees c elcius here, hovering around the 12-17 mark, but in Melbourne it is ever so cold. that said nothing will stop me getting out at 7am for 18 holes on my day off work
