I'll admit that I kinda wanted both of the Ross Bros. to be in San Diego's rotation simultaneously at some point. That would have been cool, but I prefer to have Joe on the Nats. Maybe we can pick up Tyson later.

What kind of relief help are you talking about? I guess you could argue a guy like Reynaldo Lopez or Wilmer Difo for a top 5 reliever, in the mold of the Andrew Miller trade last year. But those trades are rarer and rarer these days.

And Miller gave up 1 HIT in 7.1 IP in the postseason, and the O's STILL got swept by the Royals.

And now Andrew Miller's gone, and the O's certainly could use Eduardo Rodriguez. It just seems like the good prospect for RP trade is the most penny-wise, pound-foolish of baseball trades.

They got to the second round of the playoffs. More than the Nationals accomplished. I would include both of them in a deal for Chapman, Betances, Herrara, or Britton in a heartbeat.

Lopez is not a top 25 prospect. He's barely in the top 50, and that's only because he's young and has velo.  Lopez projects to a relief pitcher anyway.
