If _sturt_ is OK with it.  For now, I'm moving both threads to the Farm.

I defer to the mods' wisdom, not knowing the culture of the board yet (eg, how strictly threads are to be posted in applicable forums). As a newbie, I genuinely appreciate the tone of Nathan's response, btw.

What are the chances for Turner, Difo, and Rafael Bautista to be in the same lineup batting 1,2, and 9? I really want to see that.

Are you interested in becoming the "Follow the Prospects" for the 2 new guys?  Basically what that means is you can periodically update the first post of the thread (since you are the OP) with pertinent information.  If you want to do that I will edit the thread titles to fit the naming convention and add the 2 threads to the master list stickied at the top of this board.  By no means are you required in anyway to do so, but if you want them they're yours.

So I saw yesterday somewhere it was stated Trea can join the team in March. True? Or must it be June 16?

Really excited for the Turner acquisition. I would've been happy getting him straight up for Souza.

Even before you break down the speed and premium position he plays, hes got a tremendous ability to get on base. All three years in college, his OBP was almost 100 points highee than his batting average. His lowest was .87 higher. His first year in pro ball, he had a .78 difference. He's got excellent discipline at the plate and it's pretty clear it's carrying over to the pro level.

A SS that can leadoff, get on base at a high clip, and steal a lot of bases is a special player to add.

He was a productive three year starter for a major college team. He's a bright kid that doesn't seem to get shook easily. He made an immediate impact in college, had an excellent first season of pro ball, and even in spot AB's in the AFL, he produced.

I'm not sure how the season will start for him, but he should spend a lot of time at the AA level. Hell probably get a full AFL to add more exorience before the 2016 season. He's the type of kid that could move real quick, which is a big plus with the Desmond situation.

You would think PC would love this guy for the bunt alone.

Phil Rizzuto insisted that a major leaguer should know how to bunt. Scooter was a slick player. Ty Cobb bunted sometimes. Cobb was one of the best players ever. If Turner can bunt, that's great. More fun to watch the Nats pull a squeeze play than strike out.
