Confirmed that I'll be down there March 8th-14th.  Got a Scherzer jersey so I'll be the big idiot in a red Scherzer authentic.

Live about a mile from Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter so will be there as usual when the Nats are in town to play the Marlins, or Cardinals!  Pumped...

We're doing a game there the week of the March 16th, I think.

Did you steal my itinerary?  I'll be in Tampa on the 8th.  I'll have to dig out my tickets to see where I'll be sitting.  I'll be in Viera the 9th as well.  Our timeshare is in Disney, Old Key West so we'll be there for a day or two.  I have to peruse StubHub for more tickets later in the week.

We sit in Section 117 Row 1 in Viera for both games, Section 211 Row J in Tampa.  We are in suite G, I think, at Disney.

You should talk to them about suite seating at Disney...it's a lot of fun...free food and drink (cash bar), indoor and outdoor seats, and Mickey and Minnie pay a visit...etc.  Let me know if you want the contact info for the Barves ticket guy to speak there about that...even though you will miss this years Nats game.

Got tickets for March 16th and the 19th. If anyone else is down there, let me know.

And probably a Marlins away game on the 18th.

Has anyone with a partial plan received details on how to get their four free spring training seats?  Tickets are now on sale to the general public, and I've not heard / seen anything, and Nats Access is apparently down for refurbishment.  I turned my four free tickets into about $50 cash last year, and I'd like to do it again as it meaningfully defrays my cost of ownership on my partial plan.

Last year was the first year I had an MLB subscription, but I signed up on opening day. I heard MASN plays spring training games. Are those streamable too?

My season ticket guy got a notice a couple weeks ago.
You should call them.

You can stream the spring training games, and there are no blackouts. Counting other teams' broadcasts, there are usually around 16 spring training games available on MLB.tv. Most of them are carried on MLB Network, either live or in tape delay, too.

That's just the MASN schedule.  It was about the same last year.  MLB Network should also pick up some other games with the other team's feeds.

Nikon Monarch 7 8x42. (http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-7548-Waterproof-Magnification-42-Millimeter/dp/B008PEAS78/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1420484203&sr=8-5&keywords=nikon+monarch)

Rather, that's what Mrs. GburgNatsFan uses. I use her castoffs unless she's feeling generous with the better optics.

Getting back to binoculars:  Do you  know of anywhere in the DC area where there is a showroom that has a variety of quality binoculars (including, and in particular, the above mentioned) so I can actually look through them before buying, and that has a good selection so I can compare them?

Ordered ticket for March 7 against the Cardinals. Can't wait to get down there, tired of this cold winter.

I watched the second game of the Australian Baseball League Championship series this morning.  It was Perth beating Adelaide 5-3, in extras, tying the series 1-1, setting up the decisive game 3 tonight.

Yes, I’m ready for spring training.

There's a blast from the past. One of the iconic AAAA guys - absolutely destroys minor-league pitching (career .391 OBP), never cut it in the majors.

.362 OBP and 14 homers in 66 games last year, with the Hiroshima Carp.

Taught him to throw right-handed, too, it appears. I think he was a lefty with Baltimore, unless maybe he was ambidextrous?
