Speaking from personal experience, it's a lot easier to win a bar fight when the person you're going to fight has no idea that you intend to fight them, and is actually laughing with someone else and looking the other way when you cave their head in with a bar stool or a cane.

Wow, you must have had a heck of a TBI from that shot to the head.  Explains a lot. :) :poke: :couch:

I'd have a beer with you. I mean, you're a dick, but you're not as big a dick as VaRK is, and I drink with him.

coming from you makes the context of this post disturbing :poke:

I specifically moved to TN so I had an excuse to never come to a meet and greet.

Wow have we given up hope here.  2 weeks with no posts.

Here's a great article on Rendon's offense.
https://blogs.fangraphs.com/anthony-rendon-keeps-getting-better/

Quote
Pitchers are staying away from Rendon tremendously more than they have in the past (his 2019 zone rate on 0-0 is 4.5 standard deviations lower than 2018). He’s responded to that by barely lowering his swing rate. Adjusted for how much pitchers stay away from him, Rendon has been more aggressive than ever. Indeed, his swing rate at first-pitch strikes is as high as it’s ever been...

There’s such a thing as being overly aggressive on first pitches, but that’s not what Rendon has done. When he makes contact with a first pitch, he’s absolutely mauling the ball (a .350 batting average with a .739 slugging percentage, good for a .434 wOBA), and his contact rate on first pitches has barely budged. In other words, he’s getting more aggressive about swinging at good pitches without meaningfully sacrificing with whiffs or soft contact. Indeed, he’s getting ahead in the count more often than in any previous season while also punishing the ball when pitchers try to challenge him. ...

Being ahead in the count both lets him focus more on the center of the plate and forces pitchers to throw pitches there more often. When you swing at better pitches, you make better contact, and everything in Rendon’s stats suggests that he’s doing that this year. Pick a batted ball metric, and Rendon is at his peak in it. Hard-hit rate? Career high. Home runs per fly ball? Career high. Exit velocity on balls hit in the air? Yep, career high. That exit velocity comes with more barrels than ever before, too. Take a look at it in table form — it’s glorious.

Only morons are unaware of Rendon's performance at the plate. If we were a playoff team, he'd be an MVP candidate

I am convinced he wants to sign with the Rangers and they will offer him a ridiculous contract.

I heard this morning he might sit out to rest an injury. FP mentioned the other day the way he ran to first it looked like there might be some kind of injury. I heard him say a while back it would be nice if he could be named to the all-star game but not have to attend.

Hes not coming back. It's what makes Rizzo's lack of movement on the trade front so frustrating.

Unless we totally tank the next three weeks, we're not going to be selling at the deadline. So no need until the offseason

Buster Olney predicted last week he would be a Ranger next year.

There is no rush to make trades right now.

Rizzo should be in a rush. This is the worst pen in baseball. Three months later, it isn't getting better. If you gave us an average pen, such as the White Sox, Rockies, Diamondbacks, or Royals, this team is 4 games up on the first WC and is probably within 4 games of Atlanta.

This team doesn't even need a ton of back end of the bullpen help. It simply needs decent middle relief.  Guys like Andrew Chafin,    Adrian Houser, or Seth Lugo. None of these should cost a ton.
