$30 million may be a bit high, but $20 is too low. Honestly, I think his prior deal with us is still an accurate gauge of his value.
Even if Butler's deal was too high, You certainly have to think LaRoche is worth more that 2/3 of that contract to someone. I'm kind of surprised AL teams that want to contend like Cleveland, Texas and the Angels aren't more interested in him as a 1B/DH type at that price. He still kills RHP.
