I really don't think Harper's some untradeable god of baseball like some people do, although props to him for actually showing up in the postseason. Doesn't matter though because Rizzo would never trade him. I agree with this. I don' tthink Harper is some sort of MVP candidate. He might get to 40 home runs once, but more than likely we've seen what he is. .270 hitter with 25 homers, average defense, and 15-20 stolen bases with a sub 75% stealing rate.

I don't think it will be a failure to improve so much as a failure to become consistent. He is completely overwhelmed by his emotions when he plays. Which is great . . . when he's hot. But when he's not, he enters some sort of dark hole and it takes him forever to dig himself out.
