Anyone else think the Division series should be 7 games? 5 games is just a crapshoot. If it were 7 games the better team would win.

the only argument i can see for a best of 5 is that it favors the division winner since the WC team will presumably have burned its best pitcher in the wild card game, and would only get 1 start out of him in a best of 5.  In a best of 7 the ace could start games 3 and 7.  But overall I agree, I'd rather see a best of 7.  I'm surprised the owners wouldn't go for it as it means more money in their pockets.

I'm in the minority but I'm fine with best of 5, adds an element of excitement to that series.

This is the first time I've regretted cutting the cord. Would really love to see the rest of this series play out.

KC would have made the playoffs last year if they hadn't been so intent on making Wade Davis start.

this is unbelievable.  Do the Royals realize they aren't supposed to be heading for 7-0 in the playoffs?

Man Baltimore's offense caught whatever was ailing ours.

The ability of even Jeremy Guthrie to exploit the Os line shows you that they really miss a big lefty bat or two (e.g., Davis and Wieters).  Even middling innings eating 5th starters reduce Steve Pearce to average (which tells you how good he's been overall that you can use the phrase "reduce to average" in describing Pearce).  that stretch of Jones / Cruz / Pearce / Hardy is a lot less intimidating when facing a righty.   There really is not a lefty bat you have to fear.  Markakis is not a power threat, and De Aza brings neither OBP nor power this year.

No, they just faced decent pitching in the rotation and great bullpen pitching.

What's amazing is that Guthrie was meh last night and the O's couldn't do jack

Doesn't your second sentence reinforce Skippy's point?

You know who should really be on suicide watch right now?  Chris "Crush" Davis.  They'll be back on a plane to Brawltimore by the time Game 6 comes around.  Way to go dildo.

Project this to 2015 Nats.

Project this to 2015 Nats.
bring back Span and either sign Panda, trade for Zobrist or Utley, or find an effective lefty platoon mate for DE.
