The more I think about it, I'd rather have the Cardinals win the NLCS in convincing fashion.  If the Giants win it, and especially if they win the WS, I'll just keep thinking about what could have been. :?

Silver lining if the Orioles somehow pull it off: Showalter returning to the AL East and winning a championship really sticks it to the Yankees.  Too bad old George wouldn't be around to see it.

They whupped us and it wasn't close, how would them winning mean we had any more of a shot?

lol wut

All losses were by 1 run.  One game was an 18-inning marathon ffs. It's as close as you can possibly get for a four-game series.

Eh, I know what you're saying, but I don't really feel that way about this particular series.  Our offense was so beyond dead it just doesn't matter.  Even amazing pitchers aren't perfect, and that's why the Nats lost, and also why they won one, though in that case it was thanks to the other team's pitcher.

Also, Matt Williams :hammer:

True, they probably would've bent over for the Cards' pitching anyway.

Just once I'd like for us to have some other team's number when it really counts.

The problem with KC winning, I think a lot of us would have a nagging doubt about the Nats season, thinking "We could be Royals."

I'm rooting for "the Man", the REDSKINS and spring training!

The Royals though, freak the Os.

I'm rooting for the O's to get beaten hon. So that means I'm cheering for the Royals. I'm rooting for the MLB to beat MASN too.
In the NL I'm rooting for the Giants. Mike Metheny dissed the Nats at the ASG so F him and his precious pitchers. The Nats losing a 5 game series to the eventual pennant winner takes a bit of the sting out.
For the WS I'm rooting for good baseball, leaning towards the Giants for the reason above.

So the wife says the O's fan "Seven Nation Army" chant sounds too much like the barves fans chopping. Another reason to hate the O's. They don't even sing it right!

:lmao:  Yet they are in the NLCS AGAIN and we're watching and whining about meaningless ASG recognition. Win the freaking NL pennant and you can stroke your fanbase with insignificant appointments.

Lets go Caps!

NL is like a Phils Yanks WS.  Hate them both.
AL Im kinda torn.  I find myself rooting for the Os but I love the Royals attitude.  I mean they even smile when they make an out!  They play like little kids.  They dont seem to over think things.  They just hit catch and run!

The Rays started the Seven Nation Army thing, anyhow, back in 2008.

Pretty sure a Belgian football team started that and then it got picked up by a big Italian team (Roma) and it went viral from there. Tampa is incapable of generating anything original.

Well, yeah - I should have said "brought it to baseball."

And you've obviously never heard of Cigar City Brewing. :P
