Sound the sub horn!  Hurricane Gonzalez flattens Hialeah.  Everyone goes to Calle Ocho to discuss.

Right on

And furthermore, I say: sign Ian Desmond!

Remember: Ian spotted CALSGR8 along the real. She was wearing an Ian Desmond tee-shirt, so he made a u-turen and spent five or ten minutes talking. The gave here his batting gloves, signed.

That's "old time baseball", like the stories kids would tell of playing catch with Roy Sievers and Jim Lemon around their apartment complex. I saw Bob Allison and Harmon Killebrew at PG Plaza one evening. Harmon so bashful he hardly spoke.

Fifty years later, a buddy of mine from Bank of New York was invited to a Hal of Fame dinner, probably because BNY had donated money to Cooperstown. Colleague was seated next to a humble guy named Harmon Killebrew. Wondered if I had ever heard of Killebrew (my friend was not a baseball fan). Friend said, "You wouldn't guess...never...that the quiet guy is famous". As Harmon was in 1959, so he was a year or two before he died. A model human being.

Sign Ian. He was our kid, one of the first to become a core player. Zim and Ian, and...

Another nifty catch by Span in center, Harper with 3 hits, Gio looking strong and Soriano retiring the side.  Wow!

Nice to see Gio without any walks. Last five starts have been his best stretch.

Bocce over?

:lmao: I saw you and VaRK wishing I'd stay away so the team would score  I actually hate when we play the Marlins because I've got to listen to their announcers and they suck and I hate hearing Bob and FP's comments referenced when I can't hear them so I stay out of the GDT's too, therefore you can look forward to a whole weekend of winning now
