Doper Davis, O no!
« Topic Start: September 12, 2014, 01:41:18 PM »
Orioles slugger Chris Davis has been suspended 25 games for a failed drug test, which would put him out for the first eight games of the post-season.

Apparently, he was distracted or forgot to pay attention to the end of his permission from MLB to use Adderall.

Interesting read. When a player receives a TUE for Adderall/Ritalin MLB monitors their usage. If a player falls below a set parts/million then that triggers a failed test. The theory being the player is taking the drug for it's performance enhancing abilities and not as a maintenance drug. Howell also mentions he quit because of the same side effects Adam LaRoche talked about last season.

Segui, Sosa, Palmeiro, Tejada, Roberts, Davis, Cruz, Morse

The Orioles love getting juicers/cheaters.

Larry Bigbie, who turned in Roberts and Segui.

Steroids and Aderall are not the same type of drug.  Not only that but if you truly have ADHD, Ritalin and Adderall have the opposite effect.  It calms them down and allows them to focus.

Its not an excuse just a fact.  He should have gotten a TUE.  He was dumb.  But I used to teach special ed.  If the kid took his ritalin he was calm and easy to work with.  Off his medsnhe couldn't sit still.

You're the one who doesn't know what they are talking about.

My son takes Quillevant or something like that for ADHD. It has made a world of difference for him.

Chris Davis should quit baseball altogether. Since he didn't have to be at the game tonight, he stopped at a car accident and rescued a dude pinned under a vehicle.

I haven't followed the Orioles at all during the season.  Do you think the O's missed Chris Davis against KC ?

They'll miss him again on Opening Day 2015. He still has one game to serve in his suspension.
