Well, I mean, technically it's not. It's only the fifth

1st   Adam LaRoche homered to right, Anthony Rendon scored.
3rd   Adam LaRoche singled to left center, Jayson Werth scored.
3rd   Wilson Ramos grounded out to pitcher, Adam LaRoche scored, Ian Desmond to third, Bryce Harper to second.
4th   Anthony Rendon homered to left, Denard Span scored.
5th   A Recker homered to left center.

Washington Nationals  6
          New York Mets           1

P B. COLON EJECTED TOP 4TH (HITTING J. WERTH WITH PITCH)
MGR T. COLLINS EJECTED TOP 4TH (ARGUING B.COLON EJECTION)

It would be nice if when they team gets a lead, they continue to score.  It makes keeping the lead much easier.

But then by that logic, it wouldn't be over even if we had scored ten runs

That logic is correct. This ain't some sissy game like football or basketball where it can be over before it's over.

Well that homer did spike the Mets' win expectancy up to 5.1% briefly (from 2.8%) but it's now back to 3.2% at the end of the inning.  Per Fangraphs.

To be fair, I'm biased, if they had called game with the mets leading 6-1 in the fifth, I would have a different opinion.

The players hit harder in the elevator now.

:lmao:

Not to pontificate but I'm pretty tired of the whole NFL experience.

If you mean all the crap they try to push on fans I agree.

The thing that put me over the edge (and I'm a Steelers' fan as you know) is they're gonna have Rooney preside over an investigation involving domestic violence.    IMHO he has a checkered past about the way he's handled similar issues.    I'm tired of the 'skins name thing.    I'm tired of Goodell and his sheriff complex.    Oooooops, I'm pontificating.

You mean with his own players? But yeah. I was just thinking today that it makes me sick that everything has to be a social or political or moral issue. I just want to watch freaking games!

That brings me back to something I always felt guilty about.  After 9/11 13 years ago, obviously I was saddened, but I didn't know anyone that died personally.  They then canceled all football games that week, and that was what made me the most mad, granted I was in high school at the time, but yea, that was the biggest issue at the time for me.
