Andruw Jones is batting .188!

Why does his .188 look so much better than ours?

At least we start the next inning, at the top of the order.  As if that's going to help...

3 up, 3 down for Jason.  I'd like to see him get 3 more outs next inning although the heart of Atlanta's order is due up.

I just clicked over to sportsline.com gamecenter and discovered this  frightening little tidbit...
Our five bench players are hitting, .179, .167, .100, .000 and .000

Dean Vernon Wormer: "Mr. Kroger: two C's, two D's and an F. That's a 1.2 grade average. Congratulations, Kroger. You're at the top of the Delta pledge class. Mr. Dorfman?  0.2 ... Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son. Mr. Hoover, president of Delta house? 1.60; four C's and an F. A fine example you set!  Daniel Simpson Day... HAS no grade point average. All courses incomplete. Mr. Blu - MR. BLUTARSKY... ZERO POINT ZERO. Blutsarsky, your grade point average is... 0.0."

So, does anyone still think he's afraid to throw strikes?  And he's even playing sick!!!  The reason our OF is working is because he's letting the OF do the work and not being afraid to throw into the strike zone.   No luck tonight, this is his real stuff!

Dive in front of a pitch!  If you can't get a hit then get hit!!!

You'd think these pitchers facing the Nats all have 0.00 career ERAs

Not when Felipe swings at pitches like that.. This is just unreal.  Even when we get solid starting pitching like we have gotten over the last 3-4 games we still can't take the lead.

Wow.. It doesn't get any more pathetic than this.  Zimmerman is absolutely dumbfounded at the plate.  We have had ample chances to take the lead and we can't even get close to sniffing a run.

He must of thought there was 1 strike.  I don't know how any human being lays off that pitch.

Well on a good note, for me anyways...Smoltz is bringing my team ERA and WHIP down in the ROTO Fantasy League.   :D

Dude, no matter how bad our pitching gets, there's just no comparison with how ridiculously bad our offense is

The thing is, we have a bunch of good hitters. So why is our offense so bad?

94 pitches- this inning won't be pretty.  6 innings and absolutely no offense to show for it.

(Yeah, I know Atlanta hasn't done much either- they are capable of scoring in a hurry)

In retrospect, the key to winning in either of our fantasy leagues is now obvious - pick players whose teams are facing the Nats the most often
