Danny looks good when he's not swinging from his heels.

Yeah. Same as any other out for the batter. Idea is that the fielder could have gotten you out but chose to get the lead runner. So 0-1.
Oh I see, I didn't understand the answer. Thanks for that. I finally figured out how to spot FCs while scoring so now I'm more interested on how everything affects a player's statistics.

:lmao: Of course, I guess I mean does it affect one's batting average or not?

It impacts BA negatively. You "caused" a teammate to be retired and therefore you are credited with an AB and your average goes down.

However, a sac fly, as it concerns your BA, is like you were never at bat because it helps your team.

Gio taking running lessons from LaRoche. It's always interesting to see pitchers try to run it out.

Not true. A sac fly counts as a PA but not an AB.

Yes, but walks help your OBP.

Walks do not impact average but do count as PA and therefore elevate OBP.

So it impacts your BA?

No. But it lowers OBP.

So I was right, and wrong. :)

Are sacs the only reason there's a distinction between ABs and PAs? Or do you get to PAs if you don't cause the thirds out in an inning during your AB? The whole PA thing confuses me.

Wait, PAs are used to calculate OBP?

No.

HBP do not count as AB's but count as PA so it's not just about sacs.

Yes to your last question.

I have no idea what you're asking here.
