The Russian's had some fun today at the closing ceremony, poking fun at the failure of one of the rings to properly display in the opening ceremony:

i'm still freaked out by the giant bear.  If they really had a sense of humor they would have ended the olympics with the ghost busters coming out, crossing streams, and destroying the bear.

didn't they break a bunch of digital viewing records, though? i know most kids my age, if they wanted to watch hockey, they would be watching on their computers in their bed because of the time difference.

We have 9 operating TV's in the house...including 1 in all 4 bedrooms.  We have 2 others that I haven't yet hooked-up...

Obviously not enough snowboard half-pipe, moguls for style points, "slopestyle", and other stuff from the X-Games.

Actually, not that I'm too mean a person, but I enjoyed that the woman who gave away her gold by doing some stupid trick over the last jump in some snowboard race in Torino has bombed out of the next two Olympics.  I forget her name, Lindsey Jacobellis maybe?

[edit - Yes on LJ. I'll never root for her as a snowbaord competitor.]

I still find it absurd that the ski jump is judged- shouldn't longest win

I think an argument can be made for grading the cleanliness of the landing

My kids (young adults) hardly ever watch TV on a TV.

Except baseball, which we all watch on the biggest TV available.
