Just for fun, does anyone remember Jared Lorenzen? He's still playing QB in an indoor league.    :hysterical:

The link to the article has a couple of clips of him playing. He may not move as well as Tebow but he can still pass better than Tebow.  :lmao:

WalterFootball says that Bortles or Manziel are now probably the favorites to go first.

Skipping over Manziel is career suicide for a GM.

Larry Fitzgerald restructures contract to free up $10 million of salary cap space. The NFC west should be interesting next season.

If I'm Belichek i'm trading my next 3 first round picks for him.

The Cardinals aren't parting with Fitzgerald.

CBS partners with NFL on Thursday night football, will split the season with the NFL network each airing 8 games.

Actually the first 8 Thursday games to be aired by CBS will be simulcast on the NFL Network. Jim Nance and Phil Simms will call the games, and will be absent for the Sunday games, if they're not nationwide broadcasts.

CBS gets huge ratings Thursdays at 8:00 pm for the Big Bang Theory, and does okay with Elementary at 10 pm. They have so many reruns of BBT that maybe they'll just delay airing it for those 8 weeks.

I wonder how that will work if the game is between two NFC teams.

It won't matter, Nance and Simms are simply being shared with NFL.com. I forgot to add that Nance and Simms will continue to be the booth broadcasters for the last 8 games, that will only air on NFL.com, as well as for 2 Saturday games in late December.

Those of us who refuse to pay for NFL.com will now get 8 Thursday games.

Just heard that on 106.7   ...   You may get more than 8 if the 'skins play in one of the last 8 NFL Channel games.   Yes?

BTW   ...   I like your media additions.    You in the game?    :)

Not if the Redskins do the right thing and decline prime time games.  :stir:

What do you all think about the college star lineman announcing he's gay before the NFL draft ?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/missouris-michael-sam-announces-he-is-gay-may-be-first-openly-gay-player-in-nfl/2014/02/09/0dd2fd4c-91ff-11e3-b227-12a45d109e03_story.html

He's going to be slaughtered by NFL executives, probably. Already was a mid-to-late round pick, now the old white guys who run teams will be scared of drafting him and bringing in the "distraction" even tough I'd bet 99% of players couldn't care less that their teammate was gay. Heck, I'd bet the current gay players are known by their teammates already.

Hope he makes it and kicks ass.

Don't care. If he can play he can play. I'm not in the locker room though.

It wouldn't be the teammates, it would be the media circus.

He was, at best, a third rounder. He did not show well at linebacker during the Senior Bowl. He projects to be a Robert Mathis type end or situational pass rusher. Are you going to endure all the bullcrap media for a 4th or 5th rounder? It's one thing if it's a once in a lifetime talent or even  first round talent. But this is a guy who would probably be a role player.

Still, I'm betting Baltimore or New England takes him.

The media circus is definitely the bigger issue, but as long as no players speak up against him, it's a story that dies quickly for the rest of the team, right? the players just say the right things, answer some questions, boom, the story is over except for ever tv network wanting to do interviews. a good PR staff can manage that issue easily. i think executives overrate "distractions" like this

Pats can use pass rushing help if he's a Mathis type.  If he lasts until the 6th round, I could see the Pats having a tough time passing on the talent.  They do well with late round picks that slip, like Alfonso Dennard, several of their linemen, and a certain QB.
