Is there even beer in Rosslyn?  It looked all pinot grigio last time I had the misfortune of passing through there.

Sounds right.  I'd move on past down to Rustico on the outskirts of Old Town.

Old Town isn't what it used to be, either.  Used to be one could puke up the fish market overload and then sleep it off on one of the benches on the square (the mulch in the hedges was softer, but a little dicey if someone paused nearby to take a leak).

Alas, that sort of thing is frowned upon now.

MMm-mmm, the tattoo shops should make a killing off that crap once warm weather rolls around.  Lots of Asian characters that say "skank nickel ho"

one of the most interesting drinks I ever had in Mexico was a Dos Equis beer, poured into a glass that was full of limes, salted, and with a couple of dashes of hot sauce.  As much as I hated the first sip, I loved the rest of it and have made it at home a few times.

Redeyes are a similar concept - beer with tomato juice, lime, and hot sauce.  Breakfast of champions on -35 ski days in Canada.

I guess it's a lower octane bloody mary.

I friend of mine lived in Mexico for a couple of years and swears by it.

The Mexican restraunt we go to is pushing corona margaritas- basically a good margarita ruined by a corona dumped into it. Corona itself must be backing it because they have festive half size bottles adorning the monstrosities.

Yum . . . mexican pesticide-covered limes with alcohol and hot sauce to act as solvents!

Ha, the Nats don't even know. They'll dust them off an hour before game time and find a spot for them.... Somewhere.

Has anyone been to the Right Proper Brewing Company near Howard Univ ?  It opened in December.  The beer and food menu look very interesting.

A 'beer-rita' -- common in Texas; few different iterations, one with Dos Equis, champagne, etc...

If it makes you feel better, I've only seen someone order one once. It was my mom, and when they put the beer bottle into the margarita she said "Ew that's so un-hygienic!" and didn't drink it.

Just because of a weird beer act ?  We'd have to have a commando plan to get Houston-Nat out first.

We really should nuke Texas.

Yes. unlike douchejacket the beer is very good and reasonably priced. They only have a few beers at a time so it's not like they just throw crap at the wall and hope one is good

Biersch is fine for what they are. Some kind of macro pseudo craft thing if you are stuck in an airport. Jacket thinks they freaking invented beer

No, it's part of the Neighborhood Restaurant Group. The folks that brought you Rustico, Columbia Firehouse, Tallulah, Evening Star, et al.

I haven't eaten in Evening Star in over a decade, but it was very good.  Rustico, who can complain about that?  Food's great and a very nice beer selection.  VERY nice.
