Noma in Copenhagen has been named the best of the best, taking the No. 1 slot in the prestigious San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards, produced by Restaurant magazine.

Of the 50 top restaurants, 28 are in Europe. But seven are right here in America, most of them nearby in New York.

Bostonians visiting New York who want to dine at the best should make reservations at Eleven Madison Park (No. 4), Le Bernardin (No. 21), Per Se (No. 30), or Daniel (No. 40).

If you are traveling to Chicago, you can dine at Alinea, which is No. 9 on the list. And California has two of the top 50 restaurants— French Laundry (No. 44) and Coi (No. 49).

Other restaurants in the top 10 besides Noma, Eleven Madison Park, and Alinea, include El Celler de Can Roca, Mugartiz, and Arzak, all in Spain, Osteria Francescana in Italy, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and The Ledbury, both in London, and D.O.M. in Brazil.
