the food has actually really improved this year
what happened?  been waiting 26 years for decent food at that stadium.

also, what is going on with the new stadium--no news lately seems bad news.

No prospects of note?  Renda and Perez are not prospects?  What?

Old guys in A ball? Eh. I guess.

Gonna check out a Sens game in July and P-Nats in August. Man, that Potomac roster has no prospects of note besides Severino (maybe.) Has anyone gone? How much is beer/concessions typically?

we go to Potomac a lot.  I highly advise checking out a saturday game, the after-game fireworks are worth the price of a ticket.  Spend the extra buck to sit in the orange sections on the 1B side, and get there at least 45 minutes before game time for autographs.  Bring sunglasses as the sun will set just behind RF.

As far as prospects, Severino and Renda the top guys, but by August Giolitto might be there along with some others from Hagerstown.  Brian Harper and his mustache are there as well.

Food kind of sucks, think about bringing your own.  They have the standard hot dogs/burgers/pizza/fried chicken for about $4-5, beer runs $6 I think.  There is a soul food place behind 1B and a sausage shack near 3rd.  Lines at the main stands are really really long.  They do sell a bucket of bacon strips, so you can't really go wrong with that.

New stadium, last I heard, was slated to open up for the 2016 season.

last i saw they were still working on the financing plan, then the board of supervisors must approve.  Everything must happen this year to be ready for 2016.  If they don't have a new stadium in place by then, they will have to move as MLB has given them an ultimatum to get out of Pfitzner.

I'd really like to just see them modernize the existing facility.  the location is much better for those of us in Fairfax and Western Prince William than it will be when they move it closer to I-95.  It would probably be a lot cheaper as well.

Stone bridge isn't bad at all coming from Alexandria- I already drive there for Wegmans' beer selection. I like the existing facility though- fields for the kids to run around and ample parking. The new one is going to have to get wedged in between relatively major (i,e, you're not exactly walking across them) roads and a shopping center that already has almost full lots

No one knows... some type of argument with the first base umpire.

Nats prospect report:

http://districtsportspage.com/washington-nationals-minor-league-and-prospect-report-for-week-ending-june-15th/24282

T-Mo batting .387 over his past 10.  Walters with 4 HRs over his last 10.

It doesn't speak well of the level of competition in AAA when guys who struggle here routinely go back to Syracuse and dominate opposing pitching.

Probably from Nats Park--had hot dogs last year that I am fairly certain were left over from the night before!

I believe you are correct in that the county board of supervisors would need to provide final approval.  The latest link I could find are listed below. I've read other articles that inidcate that Silber is waiting on the naming rights.   That to me indicates that he really doesn;t have the money for his end of the deal.  I suspect the Nationals will end up moving the team after 2015.

that would be such a shame. The P-Nats seem to be drawing really well these days, it's a good market for the team.  Really the should just dump some money into modernizing the Pfitz.

Yep, the new stadium would be about 5 minutes closer for me but modernizing the Pfitz works also.
