Welcome back Nats!
April 2nd, 2007 - RFK Stadium, 1:05 PM
Dontrelle Willis
0-0, 0.00
John Patterson
0-0, 0.00
For the 2nd straight season,
Willis gets the Opening Day
nod. A year ago, the D-Train
threw five scoreless innings
in a no-decision at Houston.
Willis is the Marlins' all-
time wins leader, with a
58-39 career mark, and he is
the only pitcher in club
history to post a 20-win
season (22 in 2005). Against
Washington lifetime, he is
9-4 with a 3.46 ERA.

Patterson will play his 1st
Major League game since July
9. He missed most of the
season because of a pinched
nerve in his right forearm.
Patterson is now 100 percent
healthy and will face the
Marlins for the 10th time in
his career. He is 2-4 with a
3.72 ERA against them. Last
season, the Marlins scored
3 runs in 13 innings against
Patterson.
