For the 2nd straight season,
Willis gets the  Opening Day
nod. A year ago, the D-Train
threw five scoreless innings
in a no-decision at Houston.
Willis  is the Marlins' all-
time  wins  leader,  with  a
58-39 career mark, and he is
the  only  pitcher  in  club
history  to  post  a  20-win
season (22 in 2005). Against
Washington  lifetime,  he is
9-4 with a 3.46 ERA.

9.  He  missed  most  of the
season because of a  pinched
nerve in his  right forearm.
Patterson is now 100 percent
healthy  and  will  face the
Marlins for the 10th time in
his career. He is 2-4 with a
3.72 ERA against them.  Last
season, the  Marlins  scored
3 runs in 13 innings against
Patterson.
