If they didn't I wouldn't be surprised. Hence why I said "hope".

Are you serious? You can say a lot about this team, but questioning their desire to win is not one. If anything, they put too much pressure on themselves and pressed too much.

"Had", as in past tense. Like last night.

So...when do pitchers and catchers report?

...and I think it's time finally to read Jim Brosnan's "The Long Season". Oh, and time to catch up with Dave Baldwin's weblog about an imaginary team in an imaginary league. Balwin is artist, college professor, and was a relief pitcher on the last Nats team to win 86 games.

Nah, I passively follow others sports in the offseason. I concentrate on other stuff.

What was up with that lineup today? All the starters catch early flights home?

Very very weird. You have 6+ months to rest. Can't play the last day of the year? So weird

"Had" as in we (WNFF) had 'em all the way.   Day in, day out, win or lose, at the stadium and online.   We had 'em all the way.

Is Corey Brown in the dog house. He should have played instead of Hairston.

Hello Tanner .......Good bye Mattheus.

So we end the season with a reliever blowing it late and offensive ineptitude.

Sounds about right.

Sayonara 2013 Nats. Thanks for the memories...not.

It's too bad we didn't win today, if only b/c it cost Tanner Roark his eight win of the season which would have TIED Strasburg's total for the year!

Just a little bit less than he wanted his personal milestone.

Just popping in to say I've enjoyed popping in and out during my first season here, even if the baseball has been frankly crap at times. Here's to a more successful year next season!
