I want the Cardinals as a franchise to be burned to the ground, disbanded, and permanently erased from the history books in an Orwellian manner.

Based on the fact that they are good? Based on the fact that the Nats (Gio and Storen) choked away a chance to advance against them? If anything it's the Nats that should be burned to the ground.

Rationally, yes, the Nats are the ones to blame that should be disbanded. Unfortunately, my love and fandom are not rational decisions.

You can tell the team is kind of going through the motions. Nothing to play for in terms of post-season and most of the players are basically locks to be here again next year, so playing for jobs is pretty much out the window too.

C and D bemoaning the possibility of Z'nn being pinch hit for next inning.   I say, let him hit and continue pitching.   First of all, he's working on number 20 and secondly he hits as well as most of the Nats' bench.

EDIT:    Then again, maybe not.    :)

Adams is a SRU boy.

Cardinal fans are more arrogant than Yankee fans.

Example: Cardinal broadcasters during game 1 of this series proudly repeated a tweet from Harper saying it's great to play a game in baseball-loving St Louis. Their commentary, essentially: yes, we are the best town in baseball, so Harper is simply paying us a compliment we deserve, and, by the way, Harper has had a disappointing year...he's no Mike Trout.

It's true about their fat-ass arrogance; I've seen it to my disgust in Vierra during ST.  But they have a great team and young manager and all that history from Dizzy to Enos to Red to Stan and I think that ranks higher than arrogant fans.

Seems like a lot of games this year where we score early and then do jack crap afterwards.

Once again, it's LaRoche up to make the last out.

Why is it that LaRoche seems to bat twice as often as every one else?

What the freak was LaRoche swinging at? 0-6 against the Cards. Pathetic.

Another strike out swinging at a pitch not even close to the plate.
