2008 was the first time I didn't watch the World Series.  Or make that "couldn't".
Whenever I feel down I watch my highlights from the 2008 series and or the 80 playoffs and series. I would Offer to loan it to you but just too valuable.

Oh, cool, thanks...as soon as that picture of the famished kid and the vulture stops bumming me out I'll be sure to hit you up for a copy of that philm.

Nobody...once the local side are done, my rooting interest ends.

Although I wouldn't mind the Braves or Orioles taking an early fall.

AL: Anyone but Boston, but I'd love to see Beane win one in Oakland.

NL: Cincinatti or Pittsburgh.

I have no trouble wishing the Pirates success now that Gascanrahan is out of the organization.

Just got out of a meeting with a Pirates fan, would be very happy to see their playoffs end in Cincinnati.

It just goes to show what happens when you start sending out printed playoff tickets when you are still 5 games out from the WC.

I probably don't dislike Cinci, except Dusty.  Phillips is annoying, and Leake is mouthy, butthose guys are athletes.

Also, I found this an amazing read about Pittsburgh's defense.  Usually, when you say Pittsburgh's defense, you post in the Red Loft.  This might better go in the "stats giggity" thread.

I thought that's what you called the B-Sox, as opposed to the C-Sox.

AL: Anyone but Boston, but I'd love to see Beane win one in Oakland.

NL: Cincinatti or Pittsburgh.

As for baseball, my heart agrees. Beane's A's and Pirates, with Reds second to Pirates. Dislike the Braves more and more. Players are pompous twits. Cardinal fans spew manure, except for my daughter-in-law and grandson. Son made an agreement: grandson would be Redskins and Caps fan, but would be Cards fan. His first complete sentence: "Goal Ovi!!"

Regarding Cardinals fans, (1) massive tweet campaign against Denard Span for trying to bunt for a hit; many using that "n-word". (2) Many tweets suggesting someone take a bat to Ryan Zim's knees. To quote "Diane" from "Cheers": pond scum.
