Lets hope so. There's nothing more for him to prove in Potomac. I want to see what he can do against AA hitters.

He's been so impressive. Fast moving college arm with very good command.

Looks like he's been dominant from the moment he stepped into the Nats' farm system

Saw Austin Voth pitch for the P-Nats in Frederick last night. Came into his start vs the Keys with an ERA of 0.47! Topped out at 89mph but had excellent control and great change of speed. Shut down the Keys for seven innings, giving up two late hits, one walk, and eight strike outs. Fine quality start as the P-Nats won 4-0. He'll be moving on up but probably needs a bit more speed to make the show.

Yeah.  If he can sit between 90 and 93 I think he'll have no problem in higher levels.

Voth makes an appearance on FanGraph's Fringe Five:

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-fringe-five-baseballs-most-compelling-fringe-prospects-33/

Quote
Austin Voth, RHP, Washington (Profile)
This represents the right-handed Voth’s debut among the Five — not because he has only recently produced notable performances, but because one of the arbitrary criteria for eligibility in this weekly column is that a prospect plays at High-A or above. Indeed, until the latter third of June, the 22-year-old was a member of the Class-A Sally League. Through four starts now as a member of Washington’s Carolina League affiliate Potomac, however, Voth has recorded strikeout and walk rates of 30.8% and 4.4%, respectively, over four starts and 26.0 innings. Selected by the Nats in the fifth round of last year’s draft out of the University of Washington, Voth’s fastball sits at 91-92 mph, according to a recent report by MiLB.com’s Jake Seiner.

Call him up. He can take Strasburg's spot.

I would say Wednesday or Thursday of next week if he is not moved by then. He totally dominates this league.

Interested in finding out if he's added a tick or two to his FB, if his secondary stuff has improved, or if he's just performing well against a level of competition he should be besting and is getting a little lucky too (not trying to downplay his performance).  For someone who was very successful in NCAA to do reasonably well in A+ isn't unexpected, but he's crushing it.  Jump to AA will be the true test.

Carolina League Pitcher of the week
Austin Voth, Potomac
(0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 1 BB, 8 K)
Unsurprisingly, the Carolina League award goes to Voth for the second straight week -- it's the sort of thing that happens when one allows three hits over 14 scoreless innings in consecutive starts. Here are Voth's numbers in five starts since his promotion to Class A Advanced in late June: 2-0, 0.27 ERA, 33 IP, 1 R, 10 H, 5 BB, 36 K. After seven one-hit frames against Wilmington on Friday, Voth is holding Carolina League batters to a .092 average (with help from a .125 BABIP).

that was quick.  I wonder if Harper is around after this year, he's getting kind of old to be at high-A, thought he was having a decent year so far. I just don't think he projects as a MLB-level pitcher.

I haven't been following Harper since he moved up, did he not do well?

A couple of rough games but better recently. This may be a move to get a fresh bullpen arm in Potomac
