Andy Pollin getting bumped for Cooley

This tends to be my favorite local radio show, and I really like Pollin's calm measured attitude as a counterweight to Czabe. I also like not having to hear a former athlete with a tenuous grasp of the english language trying to do radio- oh well

Not really a fair comparison though.  I listen to LaVar and Dukes sometimes exclusively because I can't stand the sound of AM radio.  If both were on FM I would choose any sports show not called LaVar and Dukes instead.

Czaben and Pollin are 2 of the worst sports talk radio hosts in the nation, so knocking off one the regular circuit is a good thing.

Lavar and Dukes are also terrible, but their lowest common denominator appeal to DC sports fans makes sense I guess.

Buzz used to be on there, too, but he does his own 15 minute news oriented one now. Definitely a left perspective, but interesting.

Agreed. After his ESPN morning show failed half a decade ago, Czabe stopped trying.

Yeah, saw this in the Post the other day.

When I’m alone in the car driving home from work I listen to the SRs.

As I’ve think I’ve posted before, I’m not a huge fan of the show … waaaaaay too much R------s stuff all year long, way too much UMD (and Georgetown) and very, very little Nats (and zero about Virginia).

Also, as we all know, Czabe can be a jerk.

But this is a bad move.  A huge drop in quality.  Oh well.

He could be very good.

Frankly, I wish they had dropped Czabe and kept Andy.

I've only got to listen to only a few shows and only for a very short time, however ...

I can say ...

Cooley definitely does not suck.

I've heard much worse from other ex-jocks.
