1.126 WHIP but you know... yours was good too.
Don't let deeznat's nonsense posts get to you. Strasburg is a really good pitcher and has impeccable stuff. He has lost what he had in 2010 and hopefully he can regain that. Basically he had the pure "stuff" that Matt Harvey has right now on his fastball. His curve has gotten better and his change-up is still his best pitch. His fastball command is what is surprisingly gone now. I think his pitch inefficiencies were brought out by Boswell in a recent article or during a Q&A. He said he has always fallen off to the first base side, but now it is very dramatic. His change and his curve are deadly, ++ pitches, but his fastball just isn't the same from before the TJ surgery. It's kind of like he always flies open and falls off on his fastball and can't locate it. Not sure if that has something to do with the Nats changing his style and trying to have him pitch more to contact or if it is something where he is still recovering from the surgery.
He is still very young and is learning how to "pitch" at the mlb level. He is getting by on a good enough fastball and two super dominant off-speed pitches. Verlander did this for years before learning how to pitch so I'm not worried and I'm not trading him for Cargo. Cargo is a great player and straight up Stras for Cargo would be right about even but that opens up a big hole in the rotation, so no deal.
