I feel like the umpiring had been mostly okay all year but the last week or so we have continually been freaked in the ass by the men in blue.

I hate to admit this ... but FP is actually doing a pretty good job.

It's probably just me but I've always thought FP is a good color guy. He's just stuck with Bob.

I think Charlie said last night it was a comfortable 80 degrees.

(Image removed from quote.)

Has anybody ever been to a baseball game in the new Miami ball bark or in Tampa?  Do they use air conditioning, and if they do, how cool do they keep it?  I can't imagine Marlins' cheapskate Jeffrey Loria paying money for electricity.

Who replaced Dan Haren tonight?

(note I'm actually watching the game for the first time tonight thanks to the link posted, stuff is good).

Haren has been on point tonight.  This would be a nice addition if he can keep this up.

I love pitchers' parks but this just takes it to a whole new level. Absurd.

Giancarlo would have Chris Davis like numbers if he played in a normal park at home.

Why on Earth would you pull Haren now? He's not a rookie whose confidence you don't want to ruin. Leave him in, he's rolling.

early hook for Haren. Good. Though I don't trust our bullpen.

Imagine if he played in that tiny little league park they have in Baltimore.

And PNC Park is PACKED.  I haven't seen a crowd like this at PNC since the place opened.
That place would be nuts if the Pirates make the playoffs.

Does this announcer know the score of the game?
Apparently not.
That is the second time he has said something about the Fish winning ...
"Haren on the short end of a 1-0 game."

Precisely what I was thinking.
