That is my point about Soriano.  He never makes it pretty but he always gets it done and that's the most important thing.

Feels like we stole this one. Reminds me of last season. Big win

Chance to sweep tomorrow with Stras (who has been amazing) pitching.

Intentionally putting the winning run on base?  Not really feeling that.
I almost always don't like that move but in that case the dropoff from their 6 hitter to the 7 hitter is just huge and it's righty-righty instead of righty-lefty.  Just a far superior matchup for the Nats when you only need one out.

Exactly, let's get the sweep and send the D-Backs to Atlanta Hungry and Fired Up for a win. Their first game in Atlanta is the Chipper retirement game and I'd love to see Arizona crap all over their Prom Night Plans.... I'll be out that game. All you can drink tail gate for 4 hours and a game ticket for 70 bucks... sign me up.

You know Marty Prado will be pumped to crush his former team too.

that's going to be a hell of a pitching matchup.  Maybe the opportunity to help JZ's chances to start the ASG will motivate the hitters?

Isn't it still true that they haven't lost a game with Corbin starting yet?

Well...TMo hit a home run; Anthony Rendon is batting about .350 so "maybe" he's not a one-week-wonder; Werth is in the lineup. Corbin has to lose sometime, so tonight is a good time.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 39th win, each season:

2005 - 15th June (66th match of season)
2012 - 20th June (66th match)
2011 - 24th June (76th match)
2013 - 26th June (77th match)
2010 - 9th July (87th match)
2006 - 16th July (93rd match)
2007 - 18th July (94th match)
2008 - 1st August (109th match)
2009 - 8th August (111th match)

---

Nats win, Braves lose, Orioles lose...doesn't get much better than that. Make it Nats win, Orioles lose (Braves are idle tonight) and Mystics win tonight and it'll be downright perfection.
