How does everyone think Moore would compare to ALR over a full season?

similar offensive output, worse defense.

So, .265/.340/.470?  About 25 HR and 80 RBI?

This year's performance or last year's?

What you actually expect out of him, not what he has done.

I have no idea, but at this point in our season I'd be interested to see.  Moore seems to have crazy power.  If he can develop his pitch recognition, he could really be a good player.  Otherwise he is a bad Adam Dunn (of the last 3 seasons)

So this year's adam laroche.

Honestly, its a wash. Moore will never produce the .840 OPS he had last season. He's probably a high 700s/low 800s OPS. Which is less than Laroche, but marginally.

Byron Kerr in his pre-match radio show hinting that Moore may be back up soon - apparently he's really creaming the ball down there.

.387 BABIP. Massively higher than anything he's ever posted in the minors.

He's simply better than everyone in Triple A. Still not a major league hitter.

Moore should be starting for us right now.  Laroche is trash.

I'm starting to agree.

Moore, might hit or he might not. He didn't have the track record LaRoche has but I suspect it won't take long before his errors cause some buyers remorse. Maybe not though.

Moore provided nothing. I fail to see why some games in thr minors would magically fix this. The guy is a sucker for a breaking ball.

I've stated in the past he reminds me a lot of Mike Hessman.

276 HR's in AAA, never able to really establish himself in the MLB.

Yep. We have two good Triple A first basemen who cant seem tk do anything in the majors.

I think we need to keep ALR because there's no way Moore can duplicate his defense.  Just in the last week, I've seen ALR save Desi an error and Zim two, and arguably a couple of Rendon's just through amazing defense.  You can't quantify the value of that as it never shows up on the stat sheet (if it did it would only be a bad thing).  That said, I still have faith in ALR to hit adequately.  He's just streaky as hell and when he's in a bad streak it's going to be a bit ugly.  The thought of losing his glove scares me considering the wildness of Zimmerman throwing to first, and Desi's ability to make stellar plays leaving him some margin for error on the throw knowing ALR is a black hole for anything close.

Look up Dick "Stonehands" Stuart, record in the minors compared to majors. 1956, A-ball. It's not a mis-print.

AKA "Dr. Strange-glove".

A grand slam and a 9th inning go-ahead home run tonight.  6 RBIs

Moore will be back in September. Don't think we'll see him before that barring injury.

Probably Moore sucking this year was Eckstein's fault.

I dunno, if he keeps hitting like he is how could the team keep him in AAA?  THings will be a bit clearer after Wednesday if we make any moves or not.

I don't think you can say that with certainty, but it is probably the most damning piece of evidence against Eckstein's effectiveness.

I'll never understand how people can't put on weight. That crap is easy.
