Has anyone heard if Harper's available to pinch hit tonight?

Rizz said yes.

Rizzo doesn't bother me.  No, he's not going to say outrageous stuff, nor be overtly critical of his team.  It wouldn't be helpful to the club if he did.

What good is base stealing ability when you can't get on base.  :lmao:

Rizzo, he doesn't have pop anymore. He doesn't get on base enough to steal any bases. He has never won a gold glove.

Getting 3 scoreless innings out of Duke would be a godsend.

Not only do we have Duke starting, Vogelsong is struggling this year, so I'm sure our offense will be the cure for that.

Rizzo, late March 2012: "John Lannan will be our fifth starter.  He's done a great job for us."

A week later, Lannan sent to AAA.

Crossed my mind as an odd statement as well.

I trust the Nats have better scouts than any of us here, but can you honestly stick your head in the sand this long when it comes to Espinosa?  Lombo may not be the answer, but Espinosa looks like a guy who HAD tools and lost the way.  He can play defense and not much else.

This is looking like a JZimm start of years past where he pitches a gem but gets no run support.

No one can see the ball. Bats will roll second time through.

Nope.

Continues to tweak the hammy.

Who else wonders if Bryce is playing RF because Werth is playing left when he comes back?

Where is Werth?  Thought he was supposed to be back today

Tyler Moore lets a fastball down the middle go by, then flails at a ball at his toes.  Really seeing it well.
