If by "genetically modified" you mean "selectively bred" then you're right, otherwise your 95% figure is about as wrong as it is possible to be.

If you eat plants, then it's been modified genetically with gene cloning to have resistance to certain insects or drugs. I just learned about it in my Biology class. They are selectively bred as well to maintain that inheritance, but almost every plant you eat has been changed in some way. The "organic" ones may not even be that.

Meat products are different but I'm sure that some have been modified. Bred too;  I agree with you.
