So that's what a competent third baseman looms like

First I've ever heard of a third baseman making textiles...

Another walk. We'll be very fortunate if we get out of this unscathed. Two bad walks in this inning.

Is there such a thing as a good walk?

Neither of the walks this inning were good walks. Absolutely terrible. Two free runs because of walks. Gotta challenge hitters. Can't walk Duda with 2 outs.

Hefner done for the day.  We should have scored more off of him.

Oakland Gio is back. 10 walks in 19.2 IP this year. Not good.

Gio often goes to pieces in one inning per game. Let's hope he gets it back together.

No crispness with any of his pitches. Same with Strasburg last night. Poor control.

2nd   Ian Desmond homered to left.
3rd   Bryce Harper homered to right center, J Werth scored.
4th   C Cowgill singled to left center, J Buck and M Byrd scored, L Duda to second.

Washington Nationals     3
New York Metropolitans  2

Holy Gio! 2 walks NOT super!
