He's looking better. I would think that any pitcher with a decent fastball would pair it with a change up. Storen would do well to work on it more.

Storen's problems, like Strasburg's, are mental.  He has PTSD from Game 5

Maybe the parenthetical in the thread title should be "(or is it?)"?

If WNFF had its way then LaRoche, Zimmerman, Storen, and Haren would all be gone already and we would have waved a white flag to the Braves.

Thank God Rizzo knows a season is 162 games long and that April doesn't determine a season.

To be fair we also would be rid of Duke, Rodriguez, and Espinosa. Also Rendon would be playing in the Bigs everyday.

Damaged goods? That's low, dude is struggling, but there's no reason to put him down on the level of a UMD sorority sister.

Really glad Storen saved it for the Nats last nite.  I hate to think how he'd be feeling today, if not.

Kinda like Strasburg picking up Zimm and then pitching 8 innings the other night, hopefully this is Storen getting over his mental block and getting back to where he was pre-injury/pre-game five

One run in a blowout is not enough to condemn him.  Just as one "scoreless" inning for HRod isn't enough to put him in high leverage spots.

It's not just one game. It's the overall 2013 body of work.

24 hits in 17.1 IP, just awful. Gives up way too many baserunners.

So did he fall down or just not bother to cover first on that play?

Storen broke for home in case of a play, not realizing Adam sopped the ball.  Can't fault him here

I fault him for the walk and then giving up the hit.

OK, but he recovered and closed out the inning.

After giving up the tying run.

He's so done. Gotta trade him in the offseason.

A two hopper gets through the left side and he's done.  A bit to the right or left, he gets the DP and he's out of that.  To be fair, the BB to the leadoff guy, the ball Harper caught and the ball LaRoche stopped were bigger issues.

So you are saying that his 1.61 WHIP and .333 BA against are the result of bad luck?

Of course SF. However, if the Nats have similar numbers against a pitcher it's called ownage.

Loser. Biggest headcase on the entire pitching staff, and that's a tough feat to accomplish.

5.30 ERA. WHIP approaching 2.00

He's corrupted forever. Sorry sack of freaking garbage.
