I'd imagine he was as surprised as anyone.

Could explain his problems with his delivery.

Everyone around here seems to be down on Storen and understandably so.  But am I the only one that could see him getting a 1 2 3 save and that getting the monkey off his back and getting him back on track?

Huh, who could read the future?  This guy!

What, I predicted something positive and it came through so you got your panties in a bunch?

Besides I would prefer Battle Creek, Mt Pleasant and Farmington Hills to Flint but whatever.

He didn't pitch a save.  You may have noticed we didn't win.  Also, please stop posting and go back to the Tigers Forum.

You're right there wasn't a save but he did go 1-2-3

The worst relievers in baseball occasionally get 123 innings,  let him pass a few leads to soriano before you declare him back to normal

By no means did I say one game would put him back to normal.  I said it would be the first step.  You can't have two consecutive good outings without the first.  Hopefully he gains some momentum from today and looks more like the dominant pitcher he had been prior to game 5.

The fact you think that it not being a save is a small detail shows how little you understand.  Congrats on being my first ignore.

You didn't actually predict it. You said you could see it happening so you gave yourself a cushion. Also, I wouldn't call that getting the monkey off his back nor getting back on track. At least not yet.

FWIW, TF may be a tigers' fan but he's been hanging out here and has been pulling for the Nats (a little bit) and has not been trolling so I see no reason for telling him to get the freak out. YET

I'm slowly starting to find myself following the Nats as my NL team probably because of the passion, even if there appear to be a lot of negative posters, of the people on this board.  Also their local proximity plays a part.  I promise that I will never troll this board but the Tigers will always be my favorite team.

We're negative for a reason,  the two 'high'  points in this team's history prior to last year were the result of 100 loss seasons.  The people who stuck around were either waiting for the other shoe to drop (we call then lod)  or neurotically optimistic (sss). Even when the team got good,  they managed a first round exit.  A few playoff series wins will probably mellow us.

Note that the LoD is always around. But don't worry, as soon as the Nats win 2 or 3 in a row the SSS will be around in full force bragging.

Well lets hope we see some of the SSS after beating Wainwright and Garcia.  There is too much talent on this team to not rip off some long winning streaks.

Hey, we're around here right now, but just doing poppers and tickling ourselves with ostrich feathers until we get a win

I basically said it in the other thread, but once the Nats get through that series vs. Atlanta the end of May into June, the schedule looks very favorable for the Nats to rack up a lot of wins the rest of the way.

Still over .500 while half the wnff is ready to commit seppuku in April.
