So glad we waited through five years of the Plan for this.  Yep, winning is so much sweeter having suffered all those years, nice to be past all of that unpleasantness.

Just glad they shutdown stras last year to save him for the run.  If the team hasn't turned it around by july,  maybe they should shut down Zimmermann, Detwiler,  Gio,  and Strasburg just to be sure they're healthy

Yeah, I keep waiting for the Nats to show up in one of the "disappointments of 2013" features, which in my book they are at this point.   This team isn't very good.  They have very little besides starting pitching.  Shaky bullpen, terrible offense, terrible defense and the bench is a disaster.  I thought Rizzo had done a decent job until this past offseason, but I think other than the Span deal he really screwed the pooch and outsmarted himself.  IMO the bench and bullpen are both in need of major re-work.  Another bat wouldn't hurt....

The thing that pisses me off, is years of media predictions of suck followed by suck, and last year predictions of a decent team followed by a decent team made me think they knew what they were doing, this year predictions of a possible great team followed by mediocre

Thought you were just talking about this year, I was born in Chicago and lived their til I was 4 so I hope they win one eventually. Never became a big fan of them though.
