Syracuse might be better than Miami.

Well, if it were my hairline, the fracture would recede to nothingness.

Zach Walters hits his 4th AAA HR in 5 games tonight as the Syracuse Chiefs keep rolling.

Kobernus was 3/4 with a Single, Double, Triple, RBI and is batting .611 on the season.

Dixon Anderson is throwing the ball well down in Hagerstown.

Anyone have a report on what his stuff looks like right now?

Back in 2010 he reportedly sat in the mid 90s with a good sink. Here's a video from mlb.com: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?topic_id=8080130&content_id=8192861

This year's Nate Karns?

Possible. He slipped due to injury and missed most of his first two year with shoulder problems.

Promising start.

I kind of went back and forth with Blue on Kobernus.  I think he could be a Willie Bloomquist type in terms of positional flexibility and base stealing. OF and IF without embarassing himself and a constant threat to steal when he gets on.  Blue mentioned Alex Sanchez as the type of hitter more than Bloomquist.  Sanchez had a bit higher average and stole more, although not more effectively in terms of rates.  Kobernus is a bench guy, most likely, and nothing more.  I would suspect Walters gets a shot before Kobernus if it means starter time as opposed to spot duty (more likely an injury issue than a fail of an MI).

From the BA Hot Sheet In the team photo section today:

Quote
Much like last year, Nationals’ SS Jason Martinson begins the year a level below where you would like to see him considering his age—he’s a 24-year-old returning to high Class A Potomac (Carolina) after starting last year as a 23-year-old in low Class A. But if you’re going to be sent back to repeat a level it’s best to dominate it to try to get out of there. That’s what Martinson’s doing up to now with a .368/.536/1.000 start that includes three home runs and a stolen base.

Watching the PNats tonight. No Cole, but I think Taylor Jordan is a good consolation prize.

Already can tell why Jordan throws 96 but isn't dominant. He shows the ball a ton in his windup.

The hitter can see the ball from almost the get-go.

Mooneyham (Hagertstown) and Clay (Harrisburg) both with shutout pitching through 6 tonight.  Mooneyham out after giving up just 1 hit.
