It chaps my ass that the whole thing isn't on TV.  I mean, we've got entire channels dedicated to poker, rodeo, and garbage reality tv.

If he hadn't been at the WBC, this wouldn't have happened.   He would have been in the Yankee camp doin' HGH with ARod.   I just report the news.   Take it up with ESPN.    :P

This is what's wrong with MLB Network carrying the WBC.   There are/will be multiple games on at the same time and they only have one channel.  ESPN can air things on more than one channel.

Who the heck is this Markwell guy for Nederlands?  Beats Korea and Cuba?

Checked it out.  From Curacao, age 32, I'm not sure he played since 2008.  Pitched in the Jays system from age 16 - 22, reaching AA, then pitched in Holland for a couple of years.  No stats on BR after his age 27 year, although they list him with a team through 2011.
