Werth's walkoff synced with Charlie's radio call
« Topic Start: January 28, 2013, 11:11:06 AM »
I was able to talk to Charlie Slowes at Natsfest on Saturday and he asked if I'd seen the Werth walkoff video on Youtube.  I told him I've seen the videos were his radio call is heard over still photos from the at-bat. But he said the video he's talking about has the TV footage with his radio synced to.  The video starts out in black and white with Jayson's walk-off on 9/8 to beat the Marlins and then goes into color with the Game 4 HR.  I've searched all over and can't find it.  Charlie told me that the initials VION or VOIN or something that starts with a V are in the title.  For the life of me I can't recall actually what he said.

Does anyone know of this video and can they share a link?

FYI, I had Charlie sign my Bob Carpenter scorebook on the page where I'd scored Game 4.  I had  Bob sign the front of the book. Great day at Natsfest!

Thanks!

Damn, I love that.   I was sittin' in the 300's behind home (slightly up the 1st base line) with a sight line to left.   I still get goose bumps.

I was in the upper 270s. Best night ever. Sat next to a nice man I was talking to the whole game and we just screamed at eachother.

That call still gives me chills. We have got to have one of the best radio crews. Love listening to Charlie and Dave.

That being said. freak you Peter Kozma. Dick.

I watch this video at least once a week. Being there was incredible. I remember talking to my uncle and cousin that Werth was going to make something happen at the beginning of the at bat. 13 pitchers later... boom. Everyone went nuts. One of my favorite experiences ever.

I'm flattered but the props should go to "mach1ne".    I think I'm gonna watch both these videos at least once a day, everyday, until spring training starts.

I forgot how much it bugged me that the score bug had the WSH in blue, and STL in red, haha

But amazing video. Thanks for sharing.

That kid on his dads shoulders at the very end had to have gotten hooked on the game for life after that.

i would appreciate this so much more if we had won game 5, but as great as this was, losing game 5 takes a lot of the luster off of this moment.

Is there a video of the entire at bat anywhere.  That had to be one of the best I've ever seen.

This and Strasburg's first start were the two most exciting games I have ever been to.  I really hope the atmosphere in the crowd can continue into this season.

That kid didn't know what the hell was going on.

+1  freaking Drew Storen! Gio should've taken a double dose of "juice" for that game.  :hang:

Even losing the 5th game doesn't take the luster off JW's homer.

Maybe our game five experience can be the fuel for 2013 just like Cundiff's missed FG was the fuel for the Ravens spanking NE in their place last month.
