, Poppy was a torpedo bomber in WWII, so it is a nod to that generation, and played baseball. There's the great picture of him and Babe Ruth when Joe Wood arranged a visit to school. Poppy is vigorous, too, ran while at the White House. It'd be cool to honor him now, especially after his recovery.

when he sold the franchise to Hicks, so there is even more of a linkage. He stays fit, and is personable. He threw out the first ball at the opening of the Park, so that is another tie to the club.
If it is about a President who has the stature of the Rushmores, then the only easy answer would be FDR, but I can't see having one racer on a scooter. While there are terrific wheel chair marathoners, a sprint is not appropriate.
Ike is probably the most accomplished inside and outside the White House (Hoover and Carter were more accomplished outside than inside).
