Lucas.  again, using the "who would I want if I were an opposing GM" line of reasoning.  Giolito is probably not coming to the majors before 2015, but he's got the most potential of anyone else on that list.

It's crazy because on opening day 2015 he'll still only be 20

so figure best case he debuts in Arizona next fall, makes it up to high A in 2014, pitches AA/AAA in 2015, and maybe makes it as a September call-up or contends for a rotation spot in 2016.

Giolito by a mile. The next true impact prospect we have.

Our top four is goooood. But there's a bit of a drop-off after that.

Goodwin, easily. None else has gone above Single A and has the same or better talent that Goodwin does.

Plus defender with a plus arm. Lots of pop. He's Curtis Granderson in the making.

Meyer has yet to prove he can throw a change up effectively with any consistency.

Gioloto is still a high schooler. Purke is a better prospect than him right now.

Huge dropoff after the top guys.

Why is Rosenbaum in this poll? Bizarre.

Hood and Taylor had disappointing years. Looks like they will never figure it out.

It would be a better argument if Matt Purke didn't have one of these:

I'm going with Meyer. Prospect rankings are tough. You have to mesh the potential with production/success and development. Otherwise, your most recent picks will dominant the top 5. Guys like Burgess, Smoker, etc as soon as they were drafted. So even though I think Giolito is more likely to reach his potential than Meyer, I go Meyer because he's coming off a very good first season of pro ball and still has similar upside. He has ace potential. So there's still room for him to be an impact player, even if he doesn't reach his ceiling. He could still be a solid middle the rotation guy even if his change doesn't improve. Or, he can be a dominant closer. Lots of talent and upside with Meyer.

I voted Meyer also.  But I have no idea - probably a tie between him and Goodwin is how it should have remained.

Could break the tie by asking the Giolito and Purke voters to reallocate their vote to Meyer or Goodwin.

Or else just send it to the house of representatives pancakes
