It's a shame baseball is over now that I'm over our loss.

SF deserves this for how well they  made adjustments over the offseason and during the season. Getting Pagan for nothing was brilliant, getting Melky for less than nothing was brilliant despite what ended up happening, and acquiring Scutaro and Pence was wise also. Extremely well constructed team and an extremely well managed team. Nice job.

So I bet MLB Memes will have this up but I think it goes like this:

Rangers choke in WC game.  Reds choke against SF.  Nats choke against Cards.  Yankees swept and choke against Detroit.  Cards choke against SF.  Detroit swept and choke against SF.

It hurts for us fans about the Nats, but honestly the Reds, Cardinals, Yankees, and now Detroit had multiple opportunities and multiple games to put the other teams away or at least try to push more games and they didn't execute.  Hell, the Yanks and Detroit in the WS couldn't do jack!

Bring on the Hot Stove!  Already figuring that the Nats have to be highly considered to be back in the postseason next year.  Also, EJax and LaRoche are now FA.  Deals must be done by Saturday before they can officially get offers from other teams.  Get LaRoche re-signed!

Leyland looked a bit like Al Davis in his last days, during that interview.

Wow.  But an interesting sweep, unlike that NYY "roll over and think of England" $hitshow.

Nice summary - you're right, other teams had multiple opportunities to advance in many cases and failed.

Apparently this WS was the lowest rated ever.  I guess not many people cared about these two teams, or perhaps the approaching storm diverted the attention of a lot of people, especially in the major population centers (big ratings areas) of the east coast.

The world series needs more rigging so only east coast or LA teams make it.  At most, one cutesy team can make it a year, but they must be from the National League and they must battle the Evil Empire.

I wonder which night they choose to present Drew Storen with his ring for his part in the championship run?  :stir:

I gather that in the victory parade Romo was sporting a t-shirt that was printed with "I only LOOK illegal"
