I don't see a big "Tyler Moore for start at 1st in 2013" lobby on this board.

I would be moore than fine with Tyler starting at 1st base for us...effective April 1st...

Change this Poll to include Merry Tyler Moore, and give everyone the option to change their vote.  That was actually my first reaction to it.

Have people gotten so sour on ALR that even if he would agree to a 2 year contract, we'd tell him "too late"?

We should know relatively soon if the deal is even still on the table.  The Rangers might have been the next best landing spot for LaRoche and they are most likely no longer interested.

Maybe the O's or Indians, but there is still the draft pick thing for the O's and whether or not LaRoche would actually want to play for either team.  Maybe Seattle is still interested.

We are already past the 'soft deadline' of Christmas so it wouldn't be bad faith to pull the deal now.  He might have to settle for playing for a non-contender somewhere.

I expect that Merry Tyler Moore would hit 30+ homers and his defense at 1B would exceed Morse's.

Morse is better than Moore at first base, defensively.

Actually no, the Donkey was worse than both of them which is why we let him loose.

Good answers and I agree ( not that it matters)

I believe we did offer Dunn a 3 year deal though.

But I think we low-balled him on the money, e.g. 3 years/36M, to ensure that he wouldn't sign.

I have a very well placed source that just told me the Nats and Laroche have agreed to a 2 year deal.

Nope

No offense, but I'm pretty sure Fielder signed here last year like 4 times due to "insider info".  I hope you are right though, as my grand scheme may be true.  Hopefully if he does sign, Rizzo is on the phone with the M's pulling off a Morse and HRod for Luetge and Capps deal.  Maybe he is trying for Brandon Maurer too!

While I would personally rather this not be the case, I would nevertheless be happy that the ordeal would be over..for the kids, of course...

Sweet bro, is Rizzo a reacharound kind of guy or a Rusty Trombone man?

That I don't know.  Apparently they agreed this morning so I would think fairly soon.

Well, it's the right time of year, based on my only source on that matter:
Just a reminder:
1/14/10: LaRoche signs a one year deal with Arizona
1/4/11: LaRoche signs a 2 year deal with Washington

MLBTR says the Red Sox still want Napoli, so maybe our new Skins is correct?  I mean at this point, where else would LaRoche go?

If I am wrong I am wrong...I don't think I am.  My source is 2nd hand but 2nd hand to someone who would DEFINITELY know.
