I think this article is something the Nats need to pay attention to, or at least the management staff of the Nats need to pay attention to. It is another team outlining what our team did to make them feel like they could get back into the game, and then ultimately get back into it and win. What this is telling me is if the team's managers had made a few more clutch decisions, perhaps noticing the same thing the cardinals noticed, they pull Gio a little earlier, talk to the batters before getting into the box, tell Suzuki how to call the 9th, not borderline crap, etc. Maybe they could have squashed what the Cards built. This article is nothing more than some good insight into how a ballclub can scratch and claw their way back into a game they were out of. This is something the clubhouse needs to know so they don't repeat these same mistakes in the future.
This is nothing at all against the Nats, and if anyone takes offense at this they simply don't get it.
