I see what you're saying. Wasn't Colorado supposed to be up and coming a few years ago? Coming into this season, I thought the Nats would be good, but not good enough to win the division. I always thought 2013 was going to be their year. I was as surprised as anyone to see them do as well as they did, but I still think they'll be a contender next season.

Not just a contender, the Nats will be a favorite next year.  This team is solid.

I'm not upset with EJax. He was a pretty good 4th/5th starter for us. We could do much worse. I think the rest of the rotation spoiled us.

Depends on the offseason, we've got holes to fill and the whole league has money to spend.

We can't sit back while teams like the Dodgers and Phillies improve in the off season.  We have to get Greinke, if only to stop any of the other contenders from getting him.

Do we really need another pitcher wilting under the pressure?

When do pitchers and catchers report?

2013 sounds like the right year for a first trip to Spring Training.

Exactly.  I can't see the Nats paying stupid money for Greinke, I'll pass.

I'll get a spring training thread up later today or tomorrow if someone else doesn't start one first.  The Braves have already posted their schedule so we know a few of the Nats games.

I'm not a Greinke fan. He did nothing this season to make me think he is the answer for us. Go out and get Dan Haren.

16. This team will win at least one World Series in the next 5 years.  Anybody who can't see how good this team is/will be is blind.

i won't settle for 1

I'd prefer Haren over Greinke as well. He'll probably be cheaper too since he was injured this season.

Three attendance records set in three playoff games. The buzz at those games was beyond anyone's wildest expectations.

Still laughing at those on this board who questioned whether we could sell out a home playoff game.

I predicted a record gate for the first game a week before. I predicted 46K for the last game that day and it was at 45, 900+.

People around the country watching on on TV took note, believe me.
